Facilities Available

The following disabled patient facilities are available at Village Health Group:

  • Disabled Toilets
  • Disabled Parking Spaces (available at East Leake and Keyworth)
  • Hearing Loops
  • Ramps (available at the main entrance of Church House. East Leake has a ramp to the rear carpark)
  • Lift (available at Keyworth only)
  • Interpreting services such as a sign language interpretor (prebookable only)
  • All guide dogs and emotional support dogs are welcome at Village Health Group.

We are aware that some of our patients may require special or specific needs.

For Example:

If you are hard of hearing or have impaired vision, you may not be able to hear or see the call screen in the waiting room. Where appropriate, we will try our best to help you. For this particular issue, we might suggest the clinician or reception member guide you to the room instead of using the call screens.

If you think we may be able to help you with a service issue like the one above, please ask at reception or call your usual branch.

Isolating While Waiting

From time to time, we may ask patients who have a suspected or diagnosed condition (e.g Shingles or notifiable diseases) to wait in an isolated area until you are called for your appointment.

We understand that this request can seem extreme in some circumstances, but we have to take into account the health and welfare of all of our patients (e.g limiting contact between pregnant patients in the waiting room and those with suspected/diagnosed shingles to reduce the risk of contracting shingles and other complications that could arise from having shingles whilst pregnant.)

In addition to this, some of our patients may feel they need to use a room to isolate in whilst waiting to be called through to their appointment (this could be for similar reasons to those already stated, a compromised immune system or mental health wellbeing for example.) Please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so the surgery has enough time to make the appropriate arrangements (such as ensuring we have an isolation room available).
